Silverfrost FTN95 supports derived types with allocatable components but not procedures with allocatable arguments, so I cannot use it. I know PathScale runs on Linux, but I don't see a Windows version. Lahey/GNU Fortran is a wrapper for gfortran that I don't want to pay for. What commercial compilers are worth trying if the main criterion is solid Fortran 95 support (with the above extensions)? I don't think Lahey/Fujitsu is being further developed, and Lahey/Fujitsu Fortran Express v7.3 does not support brackets for array constructors. I have run into bugs with Intel Fortran that have been reported but not fixed. ![]() ![]() I use Fortran 95 except that I use brackets for array constructors, derived types with allocatable components, and procedures with allocatable arguments. My codes run on Windows with gfortran (now my primary compiler) and g95.
